The Board

Peter Hohorst, Chair, is president of Hohorst Consulting & Engineering, a Sonoma-based company with clients nationwide, such as Procter and Gamble, Booze Allen & Hamilton, Sunmark Inc., and Natural Protein Products. He is an expert in facilities planning and manufacturing plant relocation. His company also offers design and installation of computer controls for manufacturing equipment.

Peter and his wife, Lorrie, are active community volunteers. Peter has been a Cub Scout leader, Boy Scout leader, PTA president, and a Little League hockey coach. He has also been chair of the Community Development Commission and co-chair of the successful School Tax Levy campaign.

His service to the City of Sonoma includes serving as president and board member of the Sonoma Community Center, Chairman of the Fourth of July Parade, member of the Sonoma Valley Hospital Strategic Planning Committee, and president of the Diamond A Mutual Water Company and J&P Construction Volunteer Projects.

He is treasurer of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in San Francisco. Peter lives in Sonoma with his wife. Peter holds a B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Madolyn Agrimonti, 1st Vice Chair, former councilmember and mayor of Daly City, is an experienced administrator with expertise in balancing public budgets and building public/private partnerships. She has worked as a legislative staffer in the California State Senate and the U.S. Senate.

Madolyn and her husband, Rich, moved to Sonoma in 2005. She was elected to the Sonoma Valley Hospital Health Care District board in November 2008. She has a B.A. from St. Mary’s College, and an M.A. in Non-Profit Administration (MNA) from the University of San Francisco.

Bill Boerum, Treasurer, is Principal at Amonos Resources LLC, which specializes in wine industry related services to China. Previously in the risk management space, he has more than 15 years of experience in the decision technology industry and a 20-year career in banking.
 
A leader in three Health Care District financing campaigns, Bill was co-chair of the options committee for the Sonoma Valley Health Care Coalition. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Northern California Health Care Authority, a consortium of five hospitals.
 
Bill is Treasurer of Sister Cities International, Washington, D.C., where he chairs the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors, serves on the Audit Committee and was on the search committee to find a new President & CEO. He is President of the Sonoma Sister Cities Association.  
 
Bill and his wife, Nancy, live in Sonoma and have two sons. Bill holds an M.B.A. degree from Cornell University and a B.S. degree in Economics.

Kevin Carruth, Secretary, is a principal of MC2, which consults to the public and private sector regarding large public works. He has spent 35 years in California state and county government, leading and managing large organizations with difficult budget issues and complex operations.

Sharon Nevins is an experienced executive and consultant in public and not-for-profit hospitals, focusing on financial and planning issues. She has been the Chief Financial Officer of the Department of Health, City and County of San Francisco, Acting Chief Financial Officer at Laguna Honda Hospital, and consulting clients have included major not-for-profit hospital chains, municipal hospitals and the Federal and state governments.

Sharon and her husband, Richard, moved to Sonoma in 2008. She served on the Hospital’s Finance Committee and the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee before being appointed to the Board in 2011. Sharon has a BA from the University of Missouri, an MA from the Stanford School of Medicine and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
