CEO Search Committee sends out RFPs to select recruiting firms
The Sonoma Valley Health Care District CEO Search Committee announced today it has identified a list of likely executive recruiting firms to assist in finding a new President and Chief Executive Officer for Sonoma Valley Hospital, to succeed Carl Gerlach who will be resigning on June 30.  The committee has sent a Request for Proposal (RFP) to firms on a select list.

In order that the CEO search be national in scope as well as local in focus, the committee has included national firms with out-of-state headquarters, but with offices in Northern California. “We only want to deal with people who know the market here,” said Bill Boerum, chair of the SVHCD board of directors and member of the search committee. “All firms under consideration must have an office in Northern California.” Other than that, the major qualification will be demonstrated experience in recruiting “C” level executives, including CEOs in the health care industry.

Boerum said the committee aims to choose a firm by the end of March. He said that anyone who wishes to recommend a firm should feel free to do so.
The deadline for receipt of all proposals is 5 p.m. February 24, 2010.  All proposals must be received electronically to the address shown in the RFP.
