Ways to Give

A Culture of Giving

Sonoma Valley Hospital is a community hospital that provides 90 percent of all the medical services needed by the people of Sonoma right here at home. Although we are small, we provide state of the art treatment with compassion and caring in a familial atmosphere. Without the generous support of the community, we would not be able to provide this exceptional health care to our community. We rely on taxpayer support, charitable donations and volunteerism to augment operating revenue. SVH is financially aided by an annual parcel tax. Additionally, in 2008 the district voters offered the additional support of a $35 million General Obligation Bond. These bond funds are designated for seismic upgrades and much-needed facility renovations. The Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation has worked since 1982 to provide the hospital with philanthropic donations, making possible the purchase of vital medical equipment and contributing to valuable program development. Day-to-day operations are greatly impacted by both the financial support and the volunteer work of the Sonoma Valley Hospital Auxiliary which makes a meaningful and dynamic addition to our hospital staff.
