Brian M. Sebastian, MD
After graduating from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC in 2007, Dr Sebastian moved to Washington, DC, where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital. From there, he moved to rural West Virginia, where he signed on as a primary care physician at Pendleton Community Care, a federally funded health center. He was also director of the outpatient clinic for veterans, which was affiliated with the Martinsburg, WV VAMC.
Dr Sebastian moved to Sonoma, CA in 2005, to set up a private practice, with support from Sonoma Valley Hospital. Since then, he has built a thriving (and full) practice. While in Sonoma, he has actively participated in medical staff leadership at Sonoma Valley Hospital, serving on Medicine Committee, Quality Committee, as well as the Medical Executive Committee. He served as President of the Medical Staff and Chair of the Medical Executive Committee from 2009 to 2011, leading the physicians at SVH through some difficult changes. Dr Sebastian was elected to Fellowship in the American College of Physicians, and inducted into that capacity in a convocation ceremony in Toronto, ON in April 2010.
Dr Sebastian loves the Sonoma Community and frequently participates in local activities. In 2007, he started the Valley of the Moon Chamber Ensemble, a locally popular group that has performed for numerous charity events throughout the years.
